One Simple Way to Strengthen Your Immune System
Updated: Jul 6, 2020
For those of us who have not been interacting with our fellow man or fellow woman for the past few months, it's going to take some adjustment as we venture outside this summer. We will probably find ourselves in stores, coffeeshops, or other indoor places as well as just hanging with friends and family in backyards and porches. We will have more exposure for sure. How can we protect ourselves?
In addition to the oft stated precautions, there is one thing we can do that rarely gets discussed by health officials. We can strengthen our immune system. This can be easier than you think. Surprisingly, even small modifications of our lifestyle can have big impacts in the system that provides our first line of defense against pesky foreign invaders.
Here is one thing you can do that has a huge impact. . .
Get good night sleep!!!
A recent study showed that after just one night of getting four hours of sleep, your natural killer T cells (these are your first line of defense, in other words, your first responders, that your immune system uses to fight virus', bacteria and cancer cells) are reduced by 70%. There are other things you can do to fine tune your immune system such as:
Lowering Stress
Exercising
Lesson your sugar intake and increase your vegetables
Take appropriate supplements (D, C, Mushroom blends etc)
